UPDATE: We are thrilled to report that Shauna House has been sold to an amazing local non-profit who will be utilizing the apartments for transitional housing for women and families. We are amazed at what the Lord has done and invite you to pray with us for this much-needed ministry in the city of Chester.

Welcome to the Shauna House!

Character… At almost 100 years old, we were able to restore many of the historic elements of the Shauna House… including rich, hardwood flooring and custom woodwork throughout, some new and some original glass door knobs, leaded glass windows, large, double hung windows to take in the beautiful canopy of trees around the property, exposed stonework, and solid wood doors – including original pocket doors!

Amenities… Not to be considered antiquated, the entire building has completely updated electric, heating, and plumbing. Units 1 & 2 have W/D hookups in the unit, with Unit 3 having a W/D hookup in the basement. Each apartment also has hardwired fire, smoke, & CO detectors, including rapid fire station response and a fire escape to each unit.

All heat and appliances are natural gas-fueled with each apartment unit paying individually for both gas and electric service. Water is included. All units are also equipped with large ceiling fans to help maintain a comfortable temperature no matter the season.

Eating healthy is so important, we’ve included a garden box on site for each apartment unit. Not to mention beautiful, hand selected native plants, along with old and new growth trees throughout the property.

Location… Located in the desirable Park Place neighborhood of Chester, PA, locates you within 1 mile of Crozer Medical Center, Widener University, CVS, Brookhaven Shopping Center, Phil & Jim’s famous Philly cheesesteaks, Pat’s Pizza- and other fast food options, multiple park and trail options (Chester Park, Taylor Arboretum, Houston Park, among others), several gas stations (Wawa!), and right on to Interstate 95 via Edgemont Ave or Kerlin St.

It’s only 2 miles to the newly refurbished shopping district in Brookhaven, offering: Giant, Aldi, Shoprite, Lowes, LA Fitness, Starbucks, and Smashburger, several banking options, as well as access to several more parks. 2 miles also gets you to Interstate 476, the Commodore Barry Bridge to NJ, along with a nearby Walmart!
